More and more people are welcoming the arrival of spring with one fear: the return of pollen and therefore allergic rhinitis.
Allergy = runny nose, untimely sneezing and red eyes... very unpleasant symptoms for the mild days ahead.
Tarragon Essential Oil is often referred to in the literature as an anti-allergic. Indeed, tarragon oil (artemisia dracunculus) contains molecules with anti-spasmodic properties (methyl ether phenols) in large quantities.
This is what gives it its common action described in aromatherapy books: alleviating digestive discomfort or premenstrual pain.
It is less well known, but tarragon also plays a role in preventing seasonal allergic episodes . It acts both as a "field" preventative agent for allergic subjects (pollen, dust, allergic asthma) and as an antihistamine. It is understood that taking tarragon is not as quickly effective as taking medication, but it seems that the empirical experiences of a good number of patients attribute to it an effective preventative action and spend springs and summers without worries.
Therefore, it is interesting to take , as a preventative measure against the arrival of allergy episodes, 2 drops of HECT tarragon essential oil on a piece of bread or in a teaspoon of olive oil, twice a day three weeks before the arrival of pollen (advice from the scientific and medical aromatherapy course by D. Baudoux, published by NARD 2008).
