Why use essential oil for insect bites?
Insect bites , whether mosquitoes, flies, bees or wasps, can cause itching and discomfort. Essential oils are effective natural remedies for relieving skin symptoms.
Lavender essential oil is one of the most popular for soothing insect bites. It has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties that help reduce inflammation and prevent infections. Simply apply a few drops of insect bite essential oil directly to the bite for quick relief.
Peppermint and eucalyptus aspic essential oil are also effective against itching caused by bites. Their refreshing and analgesic action can soothe irritated skin. Lemongrass essential oil is also famous for repelling mosquitoes, but it can also be used to relieve itching after a mosquito bite.
For safe use, it is important to dilute your anti-insect bite essential oil in a vegetable oil (such as sweet almond oil or coconut oil) before applying them to the skin, because they are very concentrated.
