Good to know: essential oils can be a real ally in the fight against these everyday aches and pains, both in prevention and relief. Among these, you may have heard of wintergreen. Remarkably effective, there are a few precautions to be taken when using it: it must be diluted 50% in a vegetable oil, as it can be irritating to the skin, and is not recommended for people taking blood thinners or who are allergic to aspirin.

Additional tips for caring for your back with essential oils

Essential oils can be a great help in caring for your back.

Among the essential oils recommended for relieving muscle and joint pain, wintergreen essential oil tops the list.

It is known for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. By mixing a few drops of wintergreen essential oil with a massage oil such as arnica or St John's wort, you can obtain a powerful natural remedy for back pain.

Lemon eucalyptus is another popular essential oil for its anti-inflammatory properties.

It can be used in combination with ylang-ylang, known for its muscle-relaxing properties, and lavender or lavandin, which have anti-inflammatory and soothing properties.

By applying this blend of essential oils to the painful areas of your back and massaging gently, you promote muscle relaxation and reduce inflammation.

We had to tell you: the use of essential oils must be done with caution and following the recommendations of a health professional, especially for problems of low back pain, arthritis or osteoarthritis.

We also advise you to choose organic essential oils to ensure superior quality.
