Mycosis is a skin condition caused by micro-organisms (fungi, yeasts and moulds). They are highly contagious and mainly result in a yellowing, deformed or peeling nail. To treat athlete's foot (between the toes), we recommend Tea Tree Essential Oil, which is the antifungal essential oil par excellence. It destroys the fungi that cause mycosis. In the case of mycosis of the nail, Palmarosa or Lemongrass Essential Oil is preferred, and the treatment will generally take longer. Most Palmarosa essential oil contains geraniol (66 to 84%), which destroys the yeast spores and mycelium (vegetative part of fungi) of various fungi responsible for skin disorders.
If you're looking for a ready-made solution for the local treatment of nail fungus and athlete's foot, Fongiarom Organic Damaged Nail Solution is ideal.
